Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Training
The Red Cross provides comprehensive first aid training programs designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide immediate care until professional help arrives. These training programs are suitable for both laypersons and healthcare professionals and are offered in various formats, including in-person classes, blended learning options, and online courses.
*Basic First Aid: Basic First Aid courses cover essential first aid skills and techniques for responding to common medical emergencies such as cuts, burns, fractures, bleeding, choking, and cardiac emergencies. Participants learn how to assess the scene, check for responsiveness, provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED), administer first aid for various injuries, and care for sudden illnesses.
*CPR and AED Training: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training courses focus on teaching participants how to recognize cardiac emergencies, perform high-quality CPR on adults, children, and infants, and effectively use an AED to deliver life-saving shocks in cases of sudden cardiac arrest.
Red Cross first aid training programs are led by Psynergy Centre’s very own certified instructor who provide hands-on skills practice, interactive learning activities, and opportunities for participants to apply their knowledge in simulated emergency scenarios. Upon successful completion of the training, participants receive certification or a completion card that is valid for a specified period depending on the course.
Overall, Red Cross first aid training programs are designed to empower individuals with the skills and confidence to respond effectively to medical emergencies and make a positive difference in their communities by providing timely and appropriate first aid care.
