Meet Amy!

Amy is a fourth-year student in the University of Calgary Social Work program joining the Psynergy team from January - August 2024 under the supervision of Trenton Akers. She actively engages in the variety of events offered at Psynergy with the purpose of both learning and assisting. The focus of her practicum is to acquire valuable skills in clinical practice, group work, and collaboration. She seeks to expand her knowledge of mental and physical wellness. She comes to us with experiences as a young adult leader and personal care provider.

You may hear Amy's voice on the phone as she conducts intakes, provides psychoeducation and coordinates community resources for programming. Amy is also a regular participant on the podcast “Humanizing Mental Health” co-hosted by Jeremy Alcorn and Trenton Akers.
