This is a small group intensive for WOMEN. Yin Yoga is a slow paced, passive form of yoga that emphasizes stretching connective tissues (including ligaments, fascia, tendons, and joints) particularly around the spine, sacrum, hips, pelvis, and knees while focusing on deep cleansing breaths. It is not uncommon to feel not only physical but emotional releases while holding postures as meridians clear out repressed emotional blockages. The complimentary approach of Yin to trauma recovery is to help individuals to learn to get comfortable with discomfort, to learn the difference between discomfort and pain and to help you expand your mental edges that often mirror how we cope with our emotional edges. This Trauma Informed approach provides special support placed on embodiment, body autonomy, safety and choice.Â

Guest Certified Yoga instructor Ali Potts of Ascend Yoga YXH will guide us through this comprehensive somatic healing practice. Preregistration is required so that we can ensure numbers to accommodate for space and comfort.
