SUMMARY:Open/Mixed Yin Yoga
DESCRIPTION:This is a small group open mixed class. Yin Yoga is a slow paced\, passive form of yoga that emphasizes stretching connective tissues (including ligaments\, fascia\, tendons\, and joints) particularly around the spine\, sacrum\, hips\, pelvis\, and knees while focusing on deep cleansing breaths. It is not uncommon to feel not only physical but emotional releases while holding postures as meridians clear out repressed emotional blockages. The complimentary approach of Yin to trauma recovery is to help individuals to learn to get comfortable with discomfort\, to learn the difference between discomfort and pain and to help you expand your mental edges that often mirror how we cope with our emotional edges. This Trauma Informed approach provides special support placed on embodiment\, body autonomy\, safety and choice.  \nCovered by most benefits carriers \nGuest Certified Yoga instructor Ali Potts of Ascend Yoga YXH will guide us through this comprehensive somatic healing practice. Preregistration is required so that we can ensure numbers to accommodate for space and comfort. \nhttps://medicinehatcounselling.janeapp.com/…/book…

SUMMARY:Fascia Release
DESCRIPTION:Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles\, organs\, and other structures in the body. Sometimes emotional trauma or stressors stored in our body (Fascia) can result in physical symptoms such as tension headaches\, neck and shoulder pain or knots\, numbness\, tingling\, stiffness\, especially tight hips (psoas muscles)\, inflammation and overall dysfunction because the memory of trauma is stored in the fascia. Muscle armouring can occur with prolonged exposure to stress and trauma. By targeting and releasing restrictions in the fascia\, you can experience many benefits such as Improved Flexibility and Range of Motion\, Injury Prevention and Rehab\, Pain Reduction\, Improved Posture and Alignment\, Stress Release and Relaxation\, and amplify mental health therapy with increased Mind-Body Connection. Fascial Maneuvers are slow\, methodical movements formed by restricting the body in counter rotation\, while using breathing. It’s not uncommon to experience emotional releases activated by memories\, images or sensations that may arise connected to the fascia points. The stretching movements\, when completed with intention\, can assist with reducing stress\, tension\, and pain in the body. Gentle guided breath work will help us drop in and wrap up this body opening session in a group embodied grounding practice.\nCovered by most benefits.\nGuest certified yoga instructor Rhonda Ortman of From Within Yoga and Movement will guide us through this somatic opening practice. Preregistration is required so that we can ensure numbers to accommodate for space and comfort. \nhttps://medicinehatcounselling.janeapp.com/#/staff_member/1/treatment/171

SUMMARY:Women's Yin for Trauma Recovery
DESCRIPTION:This is a small group intensive for WOMEN.

SUMMARY:Transformational Retreat in Cypress Hills\, SK
DESCRIPTION:The theme for our 10th Transformational Retreat in the beautiful Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park\, SK is REVIVE YOUR SPIRIT~A JOURNEY TO EMPOWERMENT! For this very special anniversary event we are extremely excited to have guest presenter Paul Elder join us on Sunday to wrap up the weekend!\nA former television news reporter and mayor of Swift Current\, SK.\, Paul Elder is a survivor of three near-death experiences — a drowning at the age of 12\, a car accident at 17\, and a heart attack at the age of 41. A previously avowed skeptic\, Elder found\, to his dismay\, that his near-death encounters had opened within him a psychic doorway to the spirit world — a doorway he has been able to return through\, time and time again. With the assistance of angels and spirit guides\, he was systematically led through a series of stunning revelations. From reunions with departed souls to the discovery of soul mates and past lives\, his re-education left him with incredible insights as to our true nature and purpose in the universe. Forever grateful for his near-death experiences\, his spiritual insights helped to mold and deeply influence his approach to politics\, business\, and life.\nPaul went on to write the book\, ‘Eyes of an Angel’. It is the true story of a mainstream politician who could not openly share or discuss the profound\, spiritual experiences changing his perspective on life. Integrating near-death and out-of-body experiences in a way that has never been done before\, Elder’s story will encourage readers to truly listen to their own intuition and guidance\, striving to live from their heart centers\, rather than just from their heads.\nNow\, a trainer for the world-renowned Monroe Institute\, Paul lives on Vancouver Island\, British Columbia. and spends his time writing\, teaching\, and speaking throughout the United States and Canada on the phenomenon of near-death and out-of-body experiences.\nDuring the retreat Paul will present an interactive discussion on\nleading-edge research into extraordinary levels of consciousness and human abilities such as Remote Viewing and Astral Travel. Paul will also discuss his special training and work with members of the former“Top Secret” U.S. Defense intelligence program known as Project Star Gate.
